There was a delayed start in Melbourne for Day 2's play after a couple of positive COVID-19 tests in the England camp.

All sessions were pushed back by 30 minutes.

James Anderson sent back Harris as Australia continued to slide.

Jack Leach got Green as Australia's lead started building.

Pat Cummins and Mitchell Starc chipped in with handy late runs to take Australia to 267 before they were bowled out with a lead of 82.

Starc gave Australia the perfect start with two wickets in two balls to peg England back.

Boland got two wickets in an over as England were reduced to 22/4. England ended the day on 31/4 at stumps at the end of Day 2, trailing by 51.
