Mike Horn isn't a cricketer or a footballer, but sportspersons from both these disciplines hold him in high regard. An explorer who sets himself into the unknown, Horn has done a solo trip around the equator without any motorised transport, circumnavigation of the Arctic Circle, and in 2006, walked to the North Pole during permanent darkness. His pole to pole expedition which lasted two years involved a circumnavigation of the globe without any support or motorised transport.
