INDIA CLINCH THE SERIES

Hardik Pandya slams two massive sixes in the final over with India needing 14 to take them over the line. Shreyas Iyer too struck a crucial six and four against Zampa to keep India abreast in the 18th over. But Pandya gives the finishing touches in the final couple of overs overcoming the wide-outside-off plans and taking India to a run of 10 unbeaten T20I games.

WICKET: Kohli becomes Sams' maiden wicket

The Indian skipper gives charge and flays at a delivery angled across and wide, gets a thick edge through to the keeper and falls after a quickfire 40. The chase gets tighter.

WICKET: Zampa gets rid of Dhawan

Soon after the fifty, Dhawan tries to go after Zampa but top edges a slog sweep that is taken well at deep square leg. India lose their second wicket on 95.

Fifty for Dhawan

He's got there off 34 balls ut India's run-rate has just taken a small dip after their breakneck start. Both Kohli and Dhawan would look at taking a few more chances through the middle overs to make sure that the target doesn't get beyond reach.

WICKET: KL Rahul is the first casuality

He tries to take on Andrew Tye but manages to only slice a big hit to sweeper cover. Falls after a 22-ball 30 in a 56-run opening stand.

Openers start off at breakneck speed

Dhawan and KL Rahul have put paid Australia's best laid plans in the powerplay. They've taken risks that have come off and raced away to a 50-run stand in just five overs.

INNINGS BREAK: Australia finish with an imposing 194

Steve Smith and Moises Henriques fell in quick succession but all the Australian batsmen managed to chip in with cameos including those who came in late like Marcus Stoinis and debutant Daniel Sams. That has helped Australia to an imposing total. And has given them a good chance of equalizing in this series.

WICKET: Maxwell falls after cameo

A slower ball from Shardul Thakur does the trick. Maxwell had raced away to 22 from his first 13 deliveries, but this time slices it high up and straight to backward point. Australia still have a healthy run-rate close to 10 and look set for a powerful finish.

WICKET: Wade falls for 58

The wicket has come in rather comically dramatic manner. Wade gets a leading edge off Sundar and sees the ball ballooning to Kohli at short cover. He runs down the pitch with eyes on the ball and presumes Kohli takes it. But the Indian skipper juggles and drops (yet another) catch. But he's quick to recover and throw the ball to KL Rahul who runs Wade out with the batsman yards out in his attempted return.
