Resurgent CSK aim to finish Wankhede leg on a high

Two weeks into IPL 2021, Chennai Super Kings' resurgence has become the story of the season so far. MS Dhoni's CSK arrived at the back of very little game time in the off-season for most of their players, and at the risk of another year of mediocrity after finishing seventh last year. That premonition has quickly been vanquished as CSK have galloped to three wins in four games at the Wankhede, a venue they were expected to struggle in.
A lot of the bright start is down to CSK's newest top-order gem, Moeen Ali, who has helped solve one of their biggest bugbears of IPL 2020. Last season, CSK were guilty of allowing games to drift away from them in the middle, in their flawed quest to take it deep, thereby finishing with the second-worst run rate (7.40) in this period.
