India spinner Ravichandran Ashwin has called for batters to be given out leg before wicket even when the ball pitches outside the leg stump if they attempt a switch hit or reverse sweep and miss. As per the current rules, a batter is not given out LBW if the ball pitches outside the leg stump, even if it hits him or her on the pads in line.
