Injured Muzarabani, Chatara to miss Bangladesh T20Is

Zimbabwe, the latest entrant to the 2022 ICC Men's T20 World Cup along with Netherlands, will miss the services of their two senior pacers in the upcoming home series against Bangladesh, commencing on Saturday (30 July). Tendai Chatara and Blessing Muzarabani have been ruled out with injuries.

Both the bowlers picked up their injuries during the ICC Men's T20 World Cup Qualifier. While Muzarabani suffered a thigh muscle tear, Chatara fractured his collarbone.

Victor Nyauchi and Tanaka Chivanga have been drafted into the squad in the duo's absence. The remaining Zimbabwe players, who were part of the recently-concluded qualifying tournament held in Bulawayo, have retained their place in the 15-member squad.

Zimbabwe is set to host Bangladesh for a three-match T20I series followed by a three-match ODI series and all the six encounters will be held at the Harare Sports Club.
