Jhye Richardson ruled out of IPL, doubtful for Ashes

Jhye Richardson, who underwent a surgery to fix his hamstring problems, will miss the upcoming season of the IPL and is also doubtful for the Ashes to be held in England later this year.

Richardson, who had been earlier part of the Punjab Kings team, was due to play for Mumbai Indians in IPL 2023. However, he had a recurrence of a hamstring injury playing club cricket, having first picked up the injury during the Big Bash League. The injury ruled him out of the ODI series against India beginning March 17, and he subsequently underwent a surgery.
