The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) found Chandika Hathurusingha's response to their show-cause letter "unsatisfactory and unacceptable" and, as a result, terminated his contract as head coach of the national cricket team "on grounds of misconduct and breach of employment terms" with immediate effect.
