The headline-grabbing act was by Baroda whose record-smashing T20 batting performance saw them storm into the quarterfinals with an unprecedented win. Mumbai's penchant for thrillers continued as they left it late but ensured direct qualification for the quarterfinals with a thrilling win over Andhra who were primed till then to get that berth. Bengal overcame Rajasthan to make the knockouts in a must-win game for both sides while Uttar Pradesh pipped Jharkhand to the next round in a close encounter.

The teams that have qualified for the quarterfinals directly are Mumbai, Delhi, Baroda, Madhya Pradesh, Saurashtra and Vidarbha. Meanwhile, Bengal will face Chandigarh and Andhra will lock horns with Uttar Pradesh in the prequarterfinals.
