New Zealand batting all-rounder Corey Anderson will miss the upcoming ODI series against South Africa after suffering a fracture to his left thumb. The 22 year old will be replaced by Grant Elliott for the series. Anderson has played 3 T20Is for the Black Caps and was to make his ODI debut against the Proteas but suffered the setback while bowling. He is said to be out for 2 weeks. Black CapsHead Coach, Mike Hesson, said: "With the injury to Corey Anderson we decided to replace him with another batting all-rounder in Grant Elliott. "Grant comes into the squad with invaluable knowledge and experience of South African conditions," he concluded.
