Shakib Al Hasan recognized the importance of getting on top of the spinner early on. He managed a boundary off Ashwin but it was a good shot and not a bad ball. A shot with a lot of risk involved since he drove it against the spin and through cover. The wily off spinner saw the ploy and played with it. Shakib went to cut one that was not short enough and got a nick through to Saha. Nicely done, Ashwin.

Both Ashwin and Harbhajan are bowling with a lot of purpose now. The pitch assisting spinners does help. There are enough men around the bat to keep them encouraged and there are two left-handers to boot.
