Good morning all! England had a good day at the office yesterday and now they have their noses ahead at this stage of the game. In the absence of James Anderson, Stuart Broad led from the front for the visitors with a fantastic opening spell. He got good support from Chris Woakes as well and South Africa were put under serious pressure right at the start. Den Elgar offered solid resistance but England finished the day well on top thanks to Broad's strikes.

Just the second ball of the day and Broad has shown that he's still on a roll. Bavuma is castled, though a tad unlucky. The ball kept low, took the bottom of the bat and ricocheted onto the stumps. England retain firm control.
Oh dear. Not going well for South Africa on the third morning. Duminy is all squared up as he edged a ripping off-break from Ali. Excellent bowling from England really. Threatening to pick wickets from either end.
So, South Africa's struggles against spin wasn't restricted to India. Ali made Abbott look hapless before having him caught at short leg. Twice the ball spun past the inside edge and then when the edge was caught, the umpire didn't pick it. DRS was there for the rescue though. South Africa are in dire straits with Elgar trying to hold it all together.
Interesting to see that the ball is turning almost square on day three with puffs of dust kicking up. That's the last thing one would have expected to find in Durban, particularly so after the torrid time the Proteas had in India.
