Ian Bishop, former West Indies pacer, inspected the pitch at the Eden Gardens before the final and said, "The surface is a little discoloured and there are just few a footmarks from the women's final that concluded a few minutes ago. There is a bit of brown grass and there are patches of green grass as well. The ball should come onto the bat nicely under lights. It's a decent surface, so it should all come down to execution,"
