"Age is just a number" - Younis Khan added credence to the old adage as he equalled the record for most double hundreds by a Pakistan player to put his team in a commanding position in the ongoing fourth and final Test against England at The Oval. Younis's superb knock of 218 powered Pakistan to a massive total of 542 before the hosts, reeling under Yasir Shah's spell, ended day three at 88 for 4, still 126 runs away from making the visitors bat again.

218 by Younis is the highest score by a Pakistan batsman batting at number five, surpassing 215 by Zaheer Abbas's 215 against India in Lahore in 1982. The only higher score for a Pakistan player batting at five or below is 257* by Wasim Akram against Zimbabwe in Sheikhpura in 1996. The previous highest by a Pakistan number five against England was 165 by Saleem Malik in Birmingham
