All Over: A 97-run win for Delhi Daredevils

What an abject surrender by the Rising Pune Supergiant. They look hopelessly over reliant on Steven Smith. The regular captain wasn't there and the fold for a paltry 108. Amit Mishra and Zaheer finish with three wickets apiece. But the highlight of the day will still be Sanju Samson. We have our first IPL hundred of the season. But this was a rather one-sided game. Pune just didn't turn up. Not only have Delhi completed an impressive victory , they've given their NRR a massive fillip with his 97-run thumping.

A second for Amit Mishra as Rajat Bhatia holes out to long-on. Zaheer then comes back in to the attack and gets Deepak Chahar for his third wicket off the night. The end is nigh for Pune. Abject!

Dhoni falls; RPS staring down the barrel

More success for Delhi as they appear to be heading towards a big one. Amit Mishra, who was taken to the cleaners by Jadhav the other day, starts better today. Dhoni plays a little helicopter shot but finds deep mid-wicket to a nicety. Another low score for Pune!

What's at stake for Dhoni?

There's been some talk off late about Dhoni going off the boil with the bat. His first two innings in IPL 2017 have been unflattering to say the least. He will do well to get some runs under the belt. Who knows? It could also help RPS on the run-rate scale, should it go to that at the business end of the tournament.

Half the team down: Du Plessis and Stokes depart

Getting awfully ugly for the home side. The two top foreign imports, du Plessis and Ben Stokes have fallen and RPS have only 54 on the board. Du Plessis attempts a paddle scoop and and feathers an edge to the keeper.

Almost immediately after Stokes nicks Pat Cummins to Rishabh Pant, leaving the side reeling with a mountain to climb.

Wickets: Zaheer has two, Morris gets Tripathi

Bad, bad start for Pune. Mayank Agarwal is undone by Zaheer's slower one. Looks to go over the top on the off-side, ends up miscuing it horribly. Can only find the extra-cover fielder. Both openers gone now.

Make that three now... Rahul Tripathi hits Chris Morris for a couple of fours and then is hurried by the pace of a Morris short-one. Top edges the pull and Nadeem settles under it.

Chase: Rahane falls cheaply

What a start for Delhi after that flourish with the bat. Zak strikes straight away. Rahane looks to go aerial over the bowler's head. Miscues it horribly and it's that man, Samson, who gets under it to sting Delhi early in the chase.

Faf du Plessis joins Agarwal in the middle. Remember there's no Smith today!

Morris blitz takes Delhi Daredevils to 205

Wow! What a finish for Delhi. Chris Morris blitz has taken Delhi past the 200-mark. Some poor bowling from Pune at the death. 45 runs in the last two overs as Zampa and Ben Stokes offered a flurry of freebies. Morris finishes with 38 off 9 and a SR of 422.22 - the highest in IPL by any batsman with at least 30 runs.

Sanju Samson scores the first century of IPL 2017

Take a bow, Samson. This has been some innings from the young batsman. Gets to the feat with a straight six off Adam Zampa. 62-ball hundred for him. Takes his helmet off. Relief more than ecstasy in that face. A smile escapes his face as Corey Anderson engulfs him in a hug.

Samson falls immediately after, cleaned up by a zooter from Zampa. But that only brings Chris Morris to the middle, who hits two fours and a six off his first four deliveries.
