Live Cricket Score - England vs South Africa, 2nd Test, Day 4

That brings us to the end of the coverage from Trent Bridge. The series is set up brilliantly as we move back to London for the Test at the Oval. There's a 10-day gap now. That Test starts on the 27th! Do hang around Cricbuzz, we've got Tristan Holme and Rob Johnston bringing you all the reaction pieces from Nottingham. They will be brilliant.
But that's it from the Live Blog. Until next time, god speed!
I'll leave you with this defining stat from the game:
England batted for 96.1 overs in the match; South Africa batted for 96.2 overs in their first innings & 104 in the second.
What they said:
Joe Root: Contrasting emotions in the last couple of weeks. I suppose it's all about how we respond from here. It is important that we stay tight. We don't have to dwell too much on this. There are areas we have to improve and take positives from here. It's difficult, South Africa reacted to conditions better than we did. We are going to learn from that.
Faf du Plessis: There was intensity in the way we played. We let England dominate in the last game. In this Test it was important for us to get into a position of strength and keep that for long. We did brilliantly and never lost the momentum.
Vernon Philander (Man of the Match): We were all disappointed after the Lord's Test match and needed to do something better here. Going into that Test I was a bit cold with the ankle injury that I sustained playing for Sussex.. Over here, I got my groove back. Once you get the rhythm going, you need to make the most of it.
Six defeats in the last eight Tests:
One in Bangladesh, Four in India and now this one! Should England be worried?
