New Zealand have been in a similar situation before, where they pushed India hard, responded soundly to the posed challenge by being at par with the hosts, but eventually falling short in the decider. It happened back in 1995, then again in 1999 and most-recently last year when they were 2-2 going into the final of the five-match series. This time though, they're in with a chance to ruffle that record.
