Stumps

And a terrible day for Delhi comes to an end. Vidarbha, on the other hand, have taken a firm command in the game. Only three wickets fell in the day and over 300 runs were scored.

Only a miracle can save Delhi from here. They will need a turnaround of the highest order. Akshay Wadkar, who stroked his maiden first-class ton, raises his bat to his family members on the stands as he walks back to the pavilion. Vidarbha end the day on 528 for 7, leading Delhi by 233 runs.

Neral survives, again

Khejroliya bowls a bouncer at Siddesh Neral, who gets a top edge on pulling it. The bowler does well to get under the ball and catch it. But replays suggest that he has overstepped, again. For the second time, he has overstepped when Neral should have returned to the pavilion.

Another century stand

Our reporter at the venue, Ganesh C, tells us that Gautam Gambhir has not been on the field for a really long time. Not sure what's ailing him, but he hasn't been in team huddles as well after each session, except today before lunch. Extremely disappointing display by the veteran given that there is a very young team playing at the big stage. Very rarely has he gone up to the bowlers and given them direction. This is in such sharp contrast to how Wasim Jaffer has conducted himself. Jaffer has had things to say to both the batsmen and the bowlers all the time. He was even proactive in setting the field. Gambhir can surely do better!

Meanwhile, Akshay Wadkar and Siddesh Neral's eighth-wicket partnership has added 100 runs.

Adding salt to the wounds

And Siddesh Neral, just like that, brings up his half century as well. Fifth batsman in the Vidarbha line-up to bring up a half century in this innings. He reaches the landmark with a boundary. How badly would Delhi be wanting to end this day, end this misery!

500 up

After a slow start, Siddesh Neral has hit four huge sixes to reach close to a half century. The lower middle order is contributing well for Vidarbha and has helped them go past the 500-run mark. The lead has gone past 200.

Never ending misery

Siddesh Neral and Akshay Wadkar have continued to keep Delhi bowlers at bay. They have put on another half century stand as Delhi seem to have lost steam.
