That's all from this one. Until next time, it's goodbye!
Williamson | Spirit captain: Nice to bounce back after our last performance. Batters played with real intent which was important. There's a pretty clear blueprint with the short side and big side, they executed well. If you can take wickets in this format, goes a long way in getting across the line. Guys in the team have been outstanding. Really committed to move the team forward. Got another game in a few hours, going to be a nice challenge against Oval. Was a good pitch and we got off to a great start. That set the tone for us. Nice to spend some time out there. We weren't looking too good on the table but there's still something to play for. Always challenging in this competition. Bowlers have been favoured a little bit which is great. He was sort of opening a little bit for England, so it made sense (Smith opening). Totally impressed. Even in his first game, he hit a couple of strong shots over long-on. Hits the ball extremely hard. He's got so many options.
Jamie Smith | Match Hero: It's nice to get a win on the board here in front of a great crowd. We played our best cricket today which was nice. A short boundary on one side, and we were aggressive, that's the blueprint we wanted to all tournament but it hasn't come off. Yeah we played well. He's (Warner) played some ridiculous shots all comp, the overseas players add a lot and the skipper played fantastically well. They got fantastic players and with the short boundary anything is possible, but we kept chipping away.
20:42 Local Time, 19:42 GMT, 01:12 IST: Spirit are not out of the tournament just yet. They still need a near miracle to qualify but they're alive for now. This result means that Invincibles and Superchargers have officially qualified. Rockets will join them if they win even one of their remaining two games. It was a dominating performance from the Spirit in their final home game in the league stages. Put into bat, they came out firing with Jamie Smith leading the way at the top. He smashed 44 off just 18, Williamson struck a quickfire fifty and Overton finished it off to take them to a formidable 186. Southern Brave never really looked in the game when it was their turn with the bat. Jason Roy offered some hope, as did Evans, but before they could threaten, the Spirit bowlers managed to get rid of them. Dawson was particularly brilliant, varying his pace and lines nicely.

It crashes into the stumps as Spirit wrap up a big win with Topley not coming out to bat. Craig Overton b Jamie Overton 5(6)
