LA Knight Riders are on the board with this win while the Orcas are still searching for their first points. It's a Sunday double-header and the second match is starting very soon. Change tabs and enjoy all the action. For now, cheers and bye..

Jason Holder | LA Knight Riders Captain - Very important win for us, needed this momentum and hopefully we'll keep going. We bowled well, bowled to our plans, the line and lengths were exceptional, we lost a couple of wickets early in the chase, but I believed we had enough (depth in batting). A good win, the bowling was superb and that set this win for us. Excellent partnership, they set-up the game for us, if the platform is set for us (by the top-order), the power-hitters can come to the fore, that partnership set-up the game up for us nicely.

Unmukt Chand | Player of the Match - It was good, it was very important to win the game, we bowled well, 170+ was a good score on this pitch. We wanted to give a good base so that our power-hitters could come in and finish the game. It makes a huge difference for the top-order to set things up and Saif played his part as well, he was due a big score as well.

Heinrich Klaasen | Seattle Orcas Captain - It was a tricky one. We put ourselves under pressure, we didn't get enough boundaries (in the first innings.) They (LAKR) bowled really well. We need to go up front, we lost our way a little bit after the powerplay. Need to execute our plans, otherwise you will get punished. It's a do or die situation for us. Need to win 5 out of 6, need to get on a roll in order to make it to the playoffs.

18:35 Local Time, 23:35 GMT, 05:05 IST: The Knight Riders break their 3-match losing sequence while the Orcas fall to four defeats in a row. The ploy of batting first hasn't worked for them in back-to-back games now. They did start well with the ball and took two wickets early, but Unmukt (86*) and Saif Badar (54) added 139 for the third wicket to push the Knight Riders into the ascendency. They srtarted slowly and then took charge with some big overs during the middle over phase of the play, Saif was dismissed immediately after his half-century, but Unmukt stayed on to ensure no further hiccups. Orcas will look at their batting which wasn't at its best while the bowlers were on a hiding for nothing while defending the total

18.2

Jessy Singh to Rutherford, SIX, another one-handed swing and Rutherford seals the victory in style, overpitched by Jasdeep and Rutherford swung through the line, the bottom-hand came off, but Rutherford's powered it deep into the stands at long-off

18.1

Jessy Singh to Rutherford, no run, on a good length and just outside off, driven straight to the fielder at cover

17.6

Gannon to Chand, no run, low full-toss outside off, driven back at the bowler

17.5

Gannon to Chand, SIX, a reverse slap and Unmukt has enough to clear the short boundary behind the keeper - was pre-empted and Gannon saw it coming, banged it into the surface, but he couldn't get the necessary bounce. Unmukt waits on it and helps it on its way over the keeper's head

17.4

Gannon to Rutherford, 1 run, yorker length delivery outside off, Rutherford plays with an open face and runs it towards short third

17.3

Gannon to Rutherford, no run, fuller length delivery and well wide of off, Rutherford was shaping for the drive and missed. They've taken the review for caught behind, but there's daylight between bat and ball

Gannon, from round the wicket

17.2

Gannon to Rutherford, 2 runs, back of a length and angling across the left-hander, bowled into the wicket and rushes Rutherford on the pull, hit high on the bat and rolled wide of cover

Gannon to Rutherford, wide, Gannon pushes one across the left-hander, but it's well wide of off, called by the umpire

17.1

Gannon to Rutherford, SIX, a one-handed swipe and Rutherford has got enough to clear the fielder in the deep at backward square leg, was probably undone by the lack of pace on this back of a length delivery, but went through with the pull

Cameron Gannon [3.0-0-22-1] is back into the attack

16.6

Jessy Singh to Chand, FOUR, that'll ease the nerves in the LAKR camp, fuller length delivery and wid eof off - Unmukt shuffled across and threw his hands on the drive, sliced it over backward point for a boundary

Jessy Singh to Chand, no run, fuller length delivery on middle, clipped off the inner half to short fine

16.4

Jessy Singh to Rutherford, 1 run, on a length and around off, nudged wide of mid-wicket for a single

16.3

Jessy Singh to Rutherford, FOUR, creamed, fuller length delivery outside off and Rutherford went hard on the drive, drilled it crisply and over the leaping fielder at cover, off the mark with a boundary
