MINY 155/2 (17.5)
MI New York won by 8 wkts
PLAYER OF THE MATCH
Trent Boult

So, this win keeps MINY in the hunt for the final spot for the playoffs. LAKR are almost down and out but they still have a glimmer of hope if they win their last two games but they will also need other results to go their way. That's it from our side. Join us tomorrow as there's a double-header coming your way from the MLC. Until next time, goodbye and cheers!

Nicholas Pooran: The conditions were completely different today with the rain around. We have a world-class bowler in Trent Boult and he exploited the conditions. Today we used the conditions really well. It was really important to get that partnership, we stuck in and it got easier at the backend, the game fizzled out itself.

Trent Boult | PoTM: I wouldn't say the master but I have a clear role to take wickets. The conditions were humid and I made the most of the conditions, nice to get a couple of wickets upfront. I suppose I have enough experience to adapt and show good control. There's still place for swing bowling.

Jason Holder: We have had good sparks throughout the tournament but haven't been able to pull it together. We have let ourselves down on the field and also in terms of bowling. We had to win each and every game from here on but couldn’t.

23:11 Local Time, 03:11 GMT, 08:41 IST: A clinical run-chase from MINY to break their drought. Rutherford struck a brilliant 44-ball 86 to take his side to a fighting total. The others were simply not good enough though. In reply, MINY lost de Kock early but Monank Patel and Pooran got together and kept the scoreboard ticking. Both of them took their time, especially the MINY skipper. Once they got hang of the sticky surface, they expressed themselves and took the game away from the opposition. LAKR missed out on an opportunity to review and dismiss Pooran when he was on 15 - he got a nick and was caught behind but nobody really appealed. They also missed a few catching opportunities and that didn't help their cause. Both Monank and Pooran struck fifties. Pollard hit a couple of lusty blows at the fag end to seal the deal.
