There is no competition in women's cricket like England vs Australia. Not only do they carry forward the legacy from their male counterparts, they also lack opposition from other teams who cannot match the quality of their contests and rivalry. And with the two set to take on each other in a series final, the stakes are quite high. Or probably, not as much.

Both teams, along with India, had made it clear before the start of the series, that with very few games to go before the World T20 in November, this will be a part of a bigger process.
But experimentations are unlikely. Even without Katherine Brunt and Sarah Taylor, who haven't travelled to India, and Anya Shrubsole who continues to recover from her injury, England would look to play their best side. Australia shouldn't be much different.
