Anil Patel, the secretary of the Gujarat Cricket Association, confirmed the decision to Cricbuzz. He also added that they are yet to find a suitable window for the tournament.
Domestic T20 leagues around the country have become scouting avenues for IPL franchises with leagues in Delhi, Mumbai, Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka Madhya Pradesh, West Bengal, Andhra and Saurashtra all providing a platform for local talents to get noticed and a step up. Several of these leagues take place in the months of June and July, following the completion of the IPL season at the end of May.
