Left-handed opener Kusal Perera, off-spinner Tharindu Kaushal and uncapped fast bowler Dushmantha Chameera are part of the 16-man Sri Lanka squad for the Test series against Pakistan, while veteran left-hander Jehan Mubarak makes a comeback to the national squad after a break of close to eight years.

Mubarak last played a Test match in December 2007 while his last international appearance for Sri Lanka was in July 2013 when he featured in two ODIs against South Africa.

Suranga Lakmal is named in the squad, but his availability for the Test series is subject to his fitness - he is recovering from a groin injury. Fast bowler Shaminda Eranga, recovering from a back injury, was not considered.

The three-Test series kick-starts with the opening Test on June 17 at the Galle International Stadium. P Sara Oval in Colombo will host the second Test from June 25 while the final Test will be played at the Pallekele International Cricket Stadium from July 3. Following this, Sri Lanka will host Pakistan for a series of five ODIs and two T20Is.
