New Zealand declared their innings at 166 for 2 after Zimbabwe were bowled out in their first innings. Chasing a target of 387 to win, Chamu Chibhabha and Tino Mawoyo got the hosts off to a good start with a half century stand. However, they lost three late wickets and were reduced to 58 for 3 at Stumps.

It's been a steady start for Zimbabwe on Day 5. Craig Ervine has walked out to partner nightwatchman Donald Tiripano.
