Late wickets before stumps have kept England in the contest as Pakistan still have four wickets to add to their slender lead of 12 runs. At one stage, it looked as if the visitors would run away with the game after Asad Shafiq struck his 9th Test ton. He put on 150 for the fourth wicket with Younis Khan, who helped himself to his 32nd Test century. The visitors will now hope that the veteran can add some crucial runs in the morning alongside wicketkeeper Sarfraz Ahmed.

For England, it will be certainly about getting rid of those last four batsmen as soon as possible. The script has been quite similar to the previous Test so far. The ball is just 10 overs old so James Anderson and Stuart Broad will find conventional swing. Will the visitors take control or will we witness another collapse? Day 3 promises so much fun!

Pakistan see off the first half an hour from Anderson,Broad and Woakes. The two seamers found some swing but have been unable to find the breakthrough. While Younis has been very solid, Sarfraz is keeping the scoreboard ticking with a few boundaries.

Younis and Sarfraz have begun really well here at The Oval as the lead swells past 50. England already look quite frustrated and are desperately searching for a wicket as Pakistan's total nears 400.
