The showpiece Lord's domestic one-day final used to be the highlight of the county season but it has lost a little of its sheen in recent years. The T20 Blast Finals Day is now arguably more important for players and of late, the one-day final has been shoehorned in at the end of the season when weather and conditions conspire against it delivering a decent spectacle.
