England's batting coach Mark Ramprakash has called for patience from the current England side as they look set for their sixth defeat in their last nine Tests, including the current one in Nottingham.

Ramprakash said England were "learning as they go along" and didn't want the sudden rise in expectations from several top players mask their frailties against the red ball. He also felt that the opposition's bowlers [South Africa] deserved credit for exploiting the helpful conditions
