Saurashtra v J&K
After notching up a monstrous 624 for 7 declared, Saurashtra's bowlers rattled J&K to leave them precariously placed at 103 for 4 at the close of play. Dharmendrasinh Jadeja picked up three scalps.
However, the day belonged to the other Jadeja in the line-up - Ravindra Jadeja. The India all-rounder cracked 201 to take advantage of the platform set by Sheldon Jackson's 181 to push Saurashtra to a dominating position. Incidentally, before he was dismissed for 201, all of Jadeja's last three first-class hundreds had turned out to be triple tons!
Himachal Pradesh v Goa
Riding on hundreds by Khanduri and Bains, Himachal surged to 356/4, in front by 101 runs versus Goa. Felix Alemao took two scalps for Goa. Earlier in the match, the visitors were bowled out for just 255 in their first essay.
Tamil Nadu v Tripura
Washington Sundar, the promising all-rounder, cracked his maiden first class ton (156*), while Mukund, the captain, scored 76 to ensure TN took command on Day 2 against Tripura. TN lead by 74 runs with 7 wickets still in hand.
Tripura had collapsed in a heap by losing seven wickets for 55 runs to end up with 258 in their first dig.
MP v Mumbai
Naman Ojha's patient-vigil (180 off 410) laid the foundation for MP's 409. Akash Parkar took a four-fer on his debut. Mumbai, though, responded strongly to finish the day at 130 for 1. Jay Gokul Bista was batting on 89 for the visiting side.
Baroda v Andhra
Hanuma Vihari, the captain, and Ricky Bhui shared a crucial alliance of 128 for the 3rd wicket to put Andhra back on track against Baroda. The visitors were 190 for 2, still in arrears by 183 at stumps. Earlier, Swapnil and Atit Sheth's 139-run stand for the 8th wicket had helped Baroda to notch up a creditable 373.
Gujarat v Kerala
Chirag Gandhi, batting at 8, crunched a vital undefeated of 91 to power the home side into the lead. MD Nidheesh took three scalps for Kerala. At the end of the day, Gujarat were in front by 99 runs with one wicket still in hand.
Jharkhand v Rajasthan
After amassing a formidable 423, Pankaj Singh and Aniket Choudhary struck early blows to leave Jharkhand at 97 for 2, still behind by 326. Saurabh Tiwary (56 not out), the captain of Jharkhand, would look to make an impact tomorrow.
For Rajasthan, Tajinder Singh and Gautam accrued hundreds.
Hyderabad v UP
For the second day in a row, umpires had to call off the match between UP and Hyderabad as a result of bad weather conditions. Not a single ball has been bowled so far.
Karnataka v Assam
Samarth and Gowtham essayed hundreds as Karnataka seized control of the proceedings against Assam. The hosts finished the day 264 in front. If Samarth played with composure to score a 234-ball 123, then Gowtham smashed an unbeaten 132 off just 148. It also turned out to be Gowtham's maiden first class ton.
Chhattisgarh v Bengal
Dinda and Shami, the experienced pacers, picked up four scalps between them as Bengal solidified their dominance against Chhattisgarh. The hosts were 80 for 5, still behind by 449 at stumps. Ashutosh Singh was the only batsman who played with a sense of calmness for the home side and remained not out on 51.
For Bengal, Chatterjee and Ghosh scored hundreds as the visitors declared at 529 for 7.
Railways v Delhi
Ishant Sharma showed his class and quality with a three-fer to reduce Railways to 58 for 5 in their first essay, behind by 389. For the Delhi side, Manan Sharma compiled an innings of 136 and Nitish Rana made 89 to pilot them to 447.
Punjab v Vidarbha
Ramaswamy and Satish proved to be the backbone of Vidarbha's first innings total of 419 for 5. The visitors were ahead by a substantial 258 at close of play. On the other hand, Abhishek Sharma took a two-fer for Punjab.

TN v Tripura
In his 8th first-class match, the talented Washington Sundar has essayed a superb hundred. He also had a good time in the Duleep Trophy. Sundar, who is presently unbeaten on 122, has also steered TN past the Tripura score.
Railways v Delhi
The Indian selectors would be pleased with the fact that Ishant is among the wickets. The India pacer and Delhi captain picked up two scalps to reduce Railways to 19 for 3. Delhi made 447 in their first essay.
Chhattisgarh v Bengal
The experienced pacers - Dinda and Shami, are all over Chhattisgarh like a rash as the hosts find themselves in deep trouble at 23 for 3 versus Bengal. Dinda has picked up 2 and Shami 1. The home side will look towards Kaif to steer them to a safer waters.
