STUMPS:Right then, that's that for Day 3. Windies have done exceptionally well to resist new Zealand's attack today. The pitch was wearing out as the day progressed but they remained on top of it, without giving away too many chances. Fortune favours the brave, or so they say, and they survived some DRS calls, some mistimes etc to end the day on 214/2, trailing by 172.

A lot of credit for that needs to be given to Kraigg Brathwaite who led from the front, letting his partners take on the more aggressive roles. He remained unbeaten on 79. The Windies will take confidence from this outing going into Day 4. A lot of work remains in order to save this Test, if that has to be. But for now, they've done all they could on Day 3.
