The tri-series shifts to Brisbane where India take on England. The match takes on a little extra significance because both these teams have tasted an early defeat to Australia. The match could prove to be crucial in the final scheme of things to decide who goes through to the final, should Australia continue to exert their home dominance. However, each team is will play the others another time so there is still time.

England will be boosted by the return of James Anderson. The swing bowler had the measure of Virat Kohli during India's tour of England. That could emerge as the key contest once again. England will hope that the return of Anderson brings them some much needed luck. They have only 3 wins from their last 10 ODIs, a stat they would dearly love to change.

India on the other hand, will look to put behind, their defeat to Australia in Melbourne. MS Dhoni batting at No.6 is clearly weighed down by the presence of a longish tail. They will also want to put together a better show with the ball at the top of the innings. The team that wins today, goes second on the points table.

MS Dhoni won his second toss of the series and once again opted to bat on a hard looking Brisbane surface. There were a couple of changes for India. Stuart Binny replaced R Ashwin and Rohit Sharma, suffering a sore hamstring, made way for Ambati Rayudu.

England were boosted by the return of swing bowler James Anderson. Chris Jordan made way for his more experienced colleague.

The only thing that went right for India was that they won the toss. After MS Dhoni elected to bat, seamers, Steven Finn and James Anderson picked up 9 wickets among themselves to bowl India out for a paltry 153. Only a 70-run sixth wicket stand between Stuart Binny and MS Dhoni added some semblance of respectability as the famed Indian batting line-up crumbled on the high bouncing Gabba wicket.

In response, Ian Bell and James Taylor scored fifties in an unbeaten century stand, feasting on some ordinary Indian bowling to romp home to a nine-wicket win in 27.3 overs. By virtue of their convincing win, England also picked up the bonus point to go second on the table behind Australia, who they face on Friday.

India meanwhile, have a lot to ponder. For two matches in a row their top-order has failed them. Their bowling continues to remain toothless . Worrying times ahead for MS Dhoni ahead of the World Cup.

Ian Bell followed up his duck in Sydney versus Australia with a run a ball fifty against a toothless Indian attack. A chase of 154 was never going to be too difficult but India's new ball bowlers provided enough width to Bell early in the innings allowing him to play shots square off the wicket. England brought up their 100 and required only 54 more to get.

Bell quick raced into the seventies with a couple of delicious strokes off Axar Patel to bring up the 100 of the partnership between James Taylor and himself.

James Taylor cashed in on a couple of loose deliveries and brought up his half-century just before England overhauled the target. It was Taylor's 3rd in ODIs as he looks to make the number three slot in the England line-up, his own.
