It's been a familiar narrative for Kings XI Punjab and Sunrisers Hyderabad in the 2015 IPL. Both sides have been ragged and with just two wins, find themselves languishing at the lower-half of the table. There have been glimpses of promise, but overall both have been devoid of consistency. With the IPL entering its mid-phase, and teams vying for a top-four finish, time is running out for both these under-performing teams who have a lot to ponder upon.
SRH are coming off the back of a crushing defeat at the hands of MI where they botched up a chase of 158. Incidentally all 5 half-centuries for them in IPL8 have come from the David-Dhawan combo. The batting looks bare after the first two and they might want to consider bringing on Eoin Morgan back into the fray. Will they sacrifice an all-rounder for that? We'll have to wait and see.
KXIP return to Mohali after a forgettable outing in Pune. After their run to the finals last season, they've started IPL2015 with just 2 wins out of 6. Glenn Maxwell's had a forgettable outing thus far and sat out of the game against CSK. Will they get him back for this? That means they'll have to drop either Marsh or Miller. Not a good place to be
Kings XI won the toss on a greenish surface in Mohali and elected to field. The big news is that there's no place for Maxwell or Sehwagyet but KXIP have brought on Manan Vohra (his first game in IPL8) and Rishi Dhawan. Surnrisers too have a couple of changes. They've left out Steyn and KL Rahul and replaced them with Ashish Reddy and Moises Henriques.

One would think that KXIP would ideally love to return to play at the Sector 16 Stadium in Mohali. Not really. In fact they are considering options to shift base considering the consistently poor turnout in Mohali. Read by G Rajaraman. Will the Punjabi's fill the stadium and get behind their team today?
