England are currently sitting on a lead of 46 with nos 9 and 10 at the crease. If any team has a glimmer of hope to win, however minuscule that glimmer is, it's them. But for that to happen Pakistan should suffer a major batting collapse on Day 5. Does not seem possible on this pitch. But, the pitch did start playing tricks late yesterday evening and cricket remains a game of glorious uncertainties.

Ugh... to start a day with a cliche!

Anyway, the Test could be called off an hour early today if both the captains agree. A scant reward for what has truly been a tiring Test match.

Rashid and Broad are in the middle. Here's Rahat to start proceedings!

Well hello! Is there a twist in the tale? After four days of mundane cricketing action, has the Test match burst into life. It's that man James Anderson who has sent back both Shan Masood and Shoaib Malik to reduce Pakistan to 3/2.

Masood, who'd had one shocking dismissal in the Test already played on to a back-of-a-length delivery from Anderson. The ball trickled towards the stump following a weak forward defence and Masood was late in getting back to avoid the ball from disturbing the bails.

A couple of deliveries later, Anderson prized out first innings double centurion Shoaib Malik with a quick short delivery that Malik could only fend away awkwardly. The FSL completed a neat catch. And Pakistan are 3/2!

Is there life in this Test match yet!!

And lo, behold. England have declared. Did England see enough notorities from the pitch this morning which has given them some hope? The ball did spin out of the rough for Babar and the odd-one kept low. So after 4 painful days, do we have a cracker of a fifth. Would only be fair. Can Anderson and Co. bring this game to life?

Imran Khan struck for Pakistan early on Day 5 when he went through Adil Rashid's defence. A delivery which jags back in off the seam and is right through the massive gate between bat and pad. It was not full enough to drive, Rashid just goes at it lazily. Has been trying this since morning.
