Will Alastair Cook dangle the carrot? Or will he play it safe again. On paper, England have a good enough lead. It's 311 and they can't lose from here. What they can do, however, is force a win if they give themselves enough time to bowl Pakistan out. It's been a while a Test match has gone into the final day with several results still possible. Jonny Bairstow (80*) and Moeen Ali (60*) were fabulous in the final session yesterday. Will they get a small crack today? A quick burst of about 5 overs to put the lead beyond Pakistan. We shall wait and see. This promises to be a lot of fun.

As expected, England have come out to bat and what a start to Day 5 we've just had. Moeen Ali lays into poor Yasir Shah, who despite bowling with a spread out field, has conceded 20. Easy peasy for Moeen. Just steps and goes with the spin towards long-on. Much fun! Not if you are a Pakistan supporter.

Haris Sohail gets his 7th wicket of the match. Full and straight and Bairstow has missed the glance. Looks dead but the umpire doesn't give it. Misbah wastes no time in seeking the referral. Yep... three reds and it's gone. End of a fine, fine innings from Bairstow. Gone for 83. Will it be a match-winning contribution? Only time will tell. But for now, there's no declaration from England!

And there comes the declaration. After the opening over burst, England couldn't score just as quickly against Sohail and Amir and Cook waves the batsmen in. It's been four productive overs for England, who've added 31 in that time. Pakistan will now need to chsase down 343 for a 2-1 lead. What will be their approach? Surely they'll look to save the game first before attempting anything fancy...
