Netherlands will look to exit with a win. © Cricbuzz
Ireland and Netherlands played out one of the best games of the tournament in the previous edition in Bangladesh but this time, the contest is purely inconsequential. Rain didn't help their cause as well as Oman and Bangladesh will battle it out for the final spot later in the day. Both these sides would hope that rain stays away today so that we can have a full game.
Ireland have won the toss and as expected, they will bowl first in these conditions. Thankfully the rain has stayed away but the threat remains.
Ireland (Playing XI): William Porterfield(c), Paul Stirling, Gary Wilson, Niall O'Brien(w), Kevin O'Brien, Andrew Poynter, Andy McBrine, George Dockrell, Max Sorensen, Tim Murtagh, Boyd Rankin
Netherlands (Playing XI): Wesley Barresi(w), Stephan Myburgh, Ben Cooper, Tom Cooper, Peter Borren(c), Roelof van der Merwe, Mudassar Bukhari, Pieter Seelaar, Ahsan Malik, Timm van der Gugten, Paul van Meekeren
The teams were out there for the national anthems and it started to rain again. The covers are coming on and the players are heading back to the dressing rooms. Another update expected at 4pm IST.
