What a turnaround!

Led by Chris Morris and some fine bowling by Andile Phehlukwayo and Dane Paterson, South Africa scripted a turnaround and sealed the thriller to keep the three-match series alive. 175 was never expected to be a tough chase and following the 110-run stand between Jonny Bairstow and Jason Roy, it seemed that South Africa were heading towards a massive defeat again. But not to be. It went till the last ball and South Africa won by three runs. What a match!

All going well

It's getting dark at the venue, but the cricket is only getting exciting. And as for the crowd, they are amazing. International cricket has come to Taunton for the first time since 1999, and isn't the crowd enjoying it. They are animated, they are singing and dancing. No nerves for them. A contest worthy of the crowd and vice versa.

Big wicket

Runs aren't coming as easy and South Africa are striking at regular intervals. The contest has become exciting. Jos Buttler is sent back with a superb yorker from Andile Phehlukwayo. Liam Livingstone has done well to survive, but is looking edgy. What a contest this is turning out to be! 21 runs needed off 12 balls.

A fine spell

Chris Morris has caused some serious trouble to the English batsmen. He has finished with figures of 4-0-18-2, including 16 dot balls. He deserved another wicket to his credit, but the umpire didn't think so. He has brought South Africa back into the game.

Ouch!

Jason Roy was batting really well, but a poor decision to cover the line of the throw deliberately while returning to his crease has resulted in his dismissal - Obstructing the field. Contentious decision. The crowd isn't too pleased and they make their 'boos'audible. But with both the set batsmen back in the hut, South Africa have come back into the game and will hope to make the chase a bit more stiff than it was a few overs earlier.
