Build up:
IPL 10 has kicked off with a one-sided affair on the opening night followed by a tight contest last night involving Mumbai Indians and Rising Pune Supergiant. The action moves to Rajkot tonight with last year's runners-up Gujarat Lions taking on two-time champions Kolkata Knight Riders. As it has been the case so far in the tournament, both sides are depleted going into this contest. While KKR will be missing Andre Russell and Umesh Yadav, Lions will be without the services of Dwayne Bravo and Ravindra Jadeja.
It remains to be seen how the home side manages to replace the two key allrounders in their playing XI. They also have four overseas opening batsmen in their squad out of which at least one of them will miss out. KKR on the other hand, will be likely handing out a debut to Chris Woakes. Even though KKR have won their opening encounters in the last four seasons, they failed to beat Lions in both their matches last time around. Can they break the duck? We will find out as the action moves on to Rajkot tonight.
