KKR seek crucial points, RCB play for pride
Ever since they handed Royal Challengers Bangalore a sound thrashing at Eden Gardens, Kolkata Knight Riders have had a roller-coaster ride in IPL 2017, winning two games and losing two to slip down to the third spot in the points table. Gautam Gambhir's side will be eager to get that much-needed win and move up to the second spot in a bid to stay clear of the mid-table tussle.
For RCB, who were the first team to be eliminated, this game provides them an opportunity to regain some lost pride and give their fans something to cheer about. This is their last home game of the season and they'll be keen to bid farewell with a bang and play spoilsport to the qualification chances of some of the other teams.
