WHITEWASH: Zimbabwe didn't let South Africa have the victory easy, especially towards the end. Runs dried up and a couple of wickets fell late in the day. But it was all about delaying the inevitable. South Africa won the match by 4 wickets. For his half-century and some good job behind the stumps, Heinrich Klaasen was adjudged the Man of the Match.
With victory now a mere formality, South Africa lose another wicket. Heinrich Klaasen's enterprising knock ends on 59. Kyle Jarvis with his first wicket.
This has been a good period of building pressure, and Donald Tiripano has finally succumbed. Straight and full, he gets trapped legbefore. Fourth wicket down. Zimbabwe are putting up a fight here.
JP Duminy's stay was short. Another catch. Taken. The southpaw was struggling a bit in his short stay. The misery has ended. South Africa have been reduced to 122 for 3.
Faf du Plessis looked good while he was there. But his return has been cut short by a good catch from Craig Ervine, just the kind of inspiration Zimbabwe needed on the field. Can they turn it around from here? Seems difficult but they can still go down with a fight.
WICKET! Aiden Markram, after getting a good start, is adjudged legbefore. He is disappointed. He had got a big inside edge on to the pads. With no DRS to the rescue, he has to walk back dejected. He knows he has unfairly missed out on an opportunity to score big today. Sean Williams is having a good day. After his show with the bat, it is his innocuous left-arm spin which gets Zimbabwe the first breakthrough.
Aiden Markram and Reeza Hendricks - South Africa's openers - have looked supremely confident and blunted Zimbabwe's new ball challenge. The duo has put on a half-century stand, in only 49 balls, to get get South Africa's chase moving on fifth gear.
Reeza Hendricks and Aiden Markram have walked out to open the innings for South Africa. 229 isn't a daunting total, especially at Paarl where the average 1st innings score has been 277. However, Zimbabwe have a total they can fight with.
Innings end: Zimbabwe finish with a respectable total of 228, bowled out in the final over with three deliveries remaining.Donald Tiripano's 37-ball 29 has turned out to be fine rearguard action. Can the Zimbabwe bowlers capitalise on this? Meanwhile, Dale Steyn has bagged a three-wicket haul, his first in close to three years.
Tabraiz Shamsi's spell ends - 10-0-72-0 - the most expensive bowling figures by a South African against Zimbabwe. His bowling didn't deserve this. Not the amount of runs that has been leaked nor the absence of a wicket.
Donald Tiripano and Mavuta have done well to help Zimbabwe past the 200-run mark. Andile Phehlukwayo's bowling hasn't been spared today. Any error on his part and he has been punished.
Kagiso Rabada comes back into the attack and takes the big wicket of Sean Williams. For a change it was the lack of pace that did the batsman in. Looking to play the ball on the leg side, the ball rises slowly from the wicket and gets the leading edge of the bat. Easy return catch for Rabada. With more than 15 overs to go, can Zimbabwe's last five survive till the end?
Dale Steyn bags another wicket! Peter Moor, looking to get cheeky, ends up opening the face of his bat and offers Reeza Hendricks a catch. Not the easiest the one, the ball was flying. But like the fielding has been all day long, Hendricks takes a top class catch.
Sean Williams has led Zimbabwe's innings in a fine manner and brought up his 26th ODI fifty. His teammates give him a deserving ovation.
