Build Up:

After a blip in the Caribbean where England drew the ODI series 2-2 can one of the favourites for the World Cup get back to winning ways at home versus Pakistan? The home side would be bolstered by the return of the likes of Bairstow, Stokes, Buttler, Woakes and Co. So with some of the regulars back in the set-up, will the pace sensation Jofra Archer get another chance? Can Vince make an impact before the big-ticket event?

What about Pakistan? Can their much vaunted pace attack fire? One of the worries for the visiting side is Shadab Khan will be missing from action for the entire series due to virus. Meanwhile, Shoaib Malik has returned home due to personal reasons. So Yasir Shah gets an opportunity to prove his worth.

As far as the conditions are concerned, one can expect a flat pitch at The Oval.
