New Zealand are having their own moments of celebration even as Pakistan are closing in on the target. Ish Sodhi has induced an outside edge of Sarfraz Ahmed's bat to the 'keeper. Fourth wicket down.

Shoaib Malik played a fine pull shot but ended up hitting Henry Nicholls - at forward short leg. The ball bounced off his shoulders and lobbed for Ish Sodhi to show fine presence of mind and go for the catch. A bizarre dismissal. Third wicket for Lockie Ferguson.

Lockie Ferguson is trying to salvage something for New Zealand in what has been going only in Pakistan's favour till now. He has struck twice in the 29th over to dismiss both the set batters - Fakhar Zaman and Babar Azam.

FIFTY! Coming into the match, Fakhar Zaman was going through a lean patch. However, he has made the most of a relatively easy challenge today to lead Pakistan's chase and stroke a half century. New Zealand haven't done much bad with the ball but Pakistan have played largely risk free cricket. 100 up without a wicket down.

Update -Imam has now been taken to the hospital as a precautionary measure via the ambulance that is always present at the match venue. Hope it's nothing serious.

Imam ul Haq is in pain after being hit flush on the helmet by a Lockie Ferguson bouncer.

Imam ul Haq and Fakhar Zaman have batted in contrasting fashion but have been unharmed en route their half century stand, providing Pakistan a steady start in the chase.

Pakistan after showing some early aggression have resorted to a more sedate approach. Slow and steady in the chase.

Imam ul Haq and Fakhar Zaman have walked out to open Pakistan's chase. Trent Boult with the new ball.

Even as Shaheen Afridi stole the limelight and bagged four wickets, apart from a run out, Ross Taylor remained unbeaten on 86. He may have missed out on a century failing to get as many deliveries as he would have liked in the death overs, but his innings has taken New Zealand to a defendable score of 209/9. Can Pakistan chase in down and level the series?

Shaheen Afridi has struck for the third time. Tim Southee picked up a slower delivery but ended up sending it straight to Imam ul Haq at deep mid wicket, who gobbled it before pouching it safely. At 177 for 7 now, with Ross Taylor batting on 71. Can New Zealand go past 200? Can Taylor notch up a century?

Another wiccket goes down. Colin de Grandhomme looking to go for a biggie, holes out to the fielder at long on. Shadab Khan bags his first wicket of the innings. Ross Taylor is now left with the company of only the tail to deal with for the last 10 overs.

What's the word... Maturity?
