Dropped

Buttler is gutted. He has put down a catch at third slip. This should've been taken. It did come at an awkward height after Broad found the outside edge but it still should've been taken. Hope gets another chance.

Waste of a review

Looks like Anderson is getting overexcited. The umpire was right when he ruled out a lbw appeal against Bravo. The height was a major factor but Anderson convinces his skipper to challenge the decision. England lose a review.

Anderson strikes again

Big breakthrough. Brathwaite is one guy who has this ability to bat for really long periods of time but he is going to put his feet up in the dressing room now. Anderson strikes in his second over as well. He induces the outside edge of Brathwaite and Stokes takes an easy catch at slip. Windies are 10/2 as Darren Bravo comes out to bat.

And it has begun

Oh what a start for England. Brathwaite guided the first ball to the boundary but then two balls later, Campbell gets a leading edge to the slip cordon where Moeen Ali takes a top top catch at gully. England are delighted.

England declare

So the visitors declare after Joe Root's dismissal. I wonder what was the point of these five overs. Anyway, Windies now need 485 to win. England will look for some early wickets with the new ball.

Root falls

The England skipper gets a rousing applause at the venue. He is gutted. He really wanted some quick runs from his willow this morning. A low full toss from Gabriel has been clipped to Hetmyer at short midwicket.

Intent from England

Looks like the declaration isn't actually far away. Stokes is throwing his bat around and Root is attempting to play some unorthodox shots as well. Runs are coming thick and fast as the visitors score 35 runs from the first five overs of the day. In the process, the partnership between Stokes and Root goes past 100 as well. The lead is now 483.

Build up

England edged one step closer to picking up a consolation win after putting up their best batting performance on the tour. Joe Denly, Joe Root and Jos Buttler made vital contributions to take the lead to an imposing 448. This performance came despite the visitors losing Rory Burns off the first ball of the day to Keemo Paul, who had to be later stretchered off after picking up an injury. While we don't know what Paul's status is regarding the injury, Windies certainly missed him yesterday bowling with a man short throughout the day.

Denly strengthened his case for a spot in the Ashes squad with his maiden Test fifty but it was Root who stole the show. The English skipper was initially watchful before getting busier in the crease. He was involved in a century partnership alongside Buttler who departed after reaching a half-century. Root went onto reach his 16th Test century and added 71 quick runs with Ben Stokes in the final session. Stokes and Root were involved in a pretty good battle with Shannon Gabriel, who landed himself in trouble in the process.

So, how will long will England bat today is the question. The lead is 448. Perhaps, they might look to bat out the first session before declaring. With two full days still left in the Test, only one result looks possible at the moment. Welcome to the live blog for the fourth day's play of this third and final Test.
