That's the game, and the series!! Well done, South Africa, and young Malan - that was some chase!Janneman Malan starred with his maiden ODI ton in just his second innings to lead South Africa to a six-wicket winand thus, give them the series after what has been a tough summer for them. He remained unbeaten on 129, with Miller on 37, with the pair unbeaten after a 90-run stand.

Australia started strong in their 272-run defence, but South Africa slowly and steadily turned things around led by Malan - who got a golden duck in the first ODI of the series on debut - who held his bat through the innings, controlling the record chase to perfection. Starc struck early, but Klaasen, Smuts and Miller chipped in with vital contributions to help complete the chase. Australia's lack of runs in the last 10 came to hurt them in the end as they fell short by at least 20-30. It was thanks to a six-wicket haul from Ngidi - who picked up his career-best figures of 6-58.Ngidi scalped Warner, Smith and Labuschagne upfront before another three towards the end. Finch, Short and Marsh staged fightbacks, but it wasn't enough in the end.

It was a clinical performance from South Africa, who deserved that win. The relief was apparent on their faces after that win. Thank you for your company today. Do join us - albeit a dead rubber - for the final ODI. Until then, goodnight.

Proteas batsman, Temba Bavuma has been withdrawn from the remainder of the @Momentum_za One-Day International series against Australia as a precaution while the player continues his conditioning and rehabilitation following a right hamstring strain.

South Africa did well to take an early lead in the series with a convincing win in the opening ODI. Not much in terms of conditions is expected to change in the second, with runs in store on the flat wicket. Heinrich Klaasen led the way with a classy century in the opening ODI, with contributions from debutant Kyle Verreynne and David Miller. Australia, in response fell well short.

On what is the largest ground in the country, South Africa have lost only four of the 17 ODIs they have played at this ground, and just one of their last 10. Can they take the series today? Or will Australia bounce back to level the series?
