Mumbai win by 49 runs

That was a clinical performance from Mumbai Indians, with KKR appearing quite rusty. They never mounted a serious threat in the chase thanks to some fine bowling with the scoreline still not adequately reflecting their overall dominance.

They have a gap of four days before they face RCB while KKR will need to shake this defeat off quickly as SRH come visiting in two days.

The death knell for KKR?

Jasprit Bumrah's had a terrific match so far and it only gets better as Russell is cleaned up with a quick cutter zooming on leg stump. He follows that up with Morgan caught behind in the same over, with the other cutter. He went for 43 in the previous match, but in this he's conceded only 4 in 2.4 overs so far!

Those figures are spoiled by Pat Cummins!

The lead-up...

It's finally time for the Kolkata Knight Riders to get into action in IPL 2020. And it'll be against a team they have a head-to-head record of 6-19. Mumbai Indians clearly know what it takes to beat KKR, and they'll need to bring it out fully, especially after losing their opening match.

And in the lead-up, Dinesh Karthik is happy with his bowling variety while Trent Boult says he's looking forward to the Russell challenge. Aren't we all?

But will the pitch at Abu Dhabi aid the power-hitters? We'll wait to see. Toss and teams coming up soon. Stay tuned.
