Prelude
Royal Challengers would hope to resurrect their fortunes after slipping to a defeat in their previous game. RCB were criticised for making costly errors in the game against KXIP, including AB de Villiers batting as low as 6. Mohammed Siraj's costly over in the slog didn't help their cause either. To make matters worse, the likes of Isuru Udana and Yuzvendra Chahal didn't bowl their full quota of overs in conditions well-suited to their style of bowling.
What about their today's opponent, Rajasthan Royals? After posting a couple of wins in their first two games, RR have gone through a downward spiral, winning just one game in that period against SRH, with Tewatia and Parag inspiring them to a come-from-behind victory.
Steve Smith's ordinary form has been a cause for concern. The middle order has fired in fits and starts.
Can RR find a way out of the long tunnel of darkness? Will Ben Stokes continue to open the batting? What about RCB and their tactics for today's game? Catch all the action through our blog.
