Netherlands have registered a comfortable and convincing 5-wicket win to end Zimbabwe's hopes of qualifying for the semifinals. There were brief moments of stutter but at no point did they find themselves on the backfoot. Zimbabwe, on the other hand, had really very few things going for them. A partnership between Sikandar Raza and Sean Williams was undone by a batting collapse on either side of their partnership. Similarly, the early strike and a brief period of wickets in the end was sandwiched by a 73-run stand from Tom Cooper and Mx O'Dowd, which proved decisive in the end. Quite a one-way affair this was, and so unfortunate for Zimbabwe who had played so well all through the tournament.

WICKETAnother one falls. Max O'Dowd is dismissed on 52 by Blessing Muzarabani. Netherlands are stuttering slightly but the road to victory still feels quite comfortable.109/4 in 15.1 overs

Hello and welcome to Match 34 of the ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2022, set to be played between Zimbabwe and Netherlands at the Adelaide Oval. Interestingly as the tournament stands, with each team set to play two more matches in the league matches, Zimbabwe still find themselves with a chance of qualifying for the semifinals. To begin with, they will need to beat Netherlands today and hope that other results go their way. Quite unlikely, but more surprising events have unfolded in the tournament already. So cannot discount any possibility.
