CSK WIN at Chepauk
CSK WIN at Chepauk
Moeen Ali may have hit the winnings runs but it was Devon Conway who expertly led CSK's chase, helping the side over the line with seven wickets in hand and eight balls to spare in the 135-run chase. Conway remained unbeaten on 77 as CSK registered their fourth win of the season and handed SRH their fourth loss. The victory, however, was set up by Ravindra Jadeja, who returned figures of 3 for 22, broke the momentum and the back of SRH's batting line-up and restricted them to 134 for 7 in their pursuit of a 160-run par score. With this win, CSK continue to remain in the third spot on the points table, but only on Net Run Rate behind Rajasthan Royals and Lucknow Super Giants.
A couple of strikes by Mayank Markande, dismissing Ajinkya Rahane and Ambati Rayudu in quick succession has delayed the inevitable, but not put SRH in any competitive space as yet. Devon Conway continues to go strong. 122/3 in 17 overs
WICKET Devon Conway's straight drive hits Umran Malik's fingers and palms en route the non-striker's stumps to find Ruturaj Gaikwad short while backing up. Unfortunate dismissal. But the way the chase was progressing, that seemed to be the only way SRH could have struck. 87/1 in 11 overs
Interesting change from Sunrisers Hyderabad. Abhishek Sharma has walked out to open the innings with Harry Brook.
