That's all from this game folks! We'll be back tomorrow with the coverage of the 3rd match as Antigua and Barbuda Falcons lock horns with Barbados Royals. Ciao for now!

Imran Tahir: I think so (it was a perfect game,) but there's always room for improvement. The spinners bowled well in the middle overs. Motie had a clear plan. It was a brilliant effort as a bowling group. Can't ask for more from the batters after that performance. It depends on the situation, sometimes experience comes into play. We wanted to bowl off-spinners against the left-handers. They had a good powerplay, but we won the game in the middle period. We bowled really well as a group. I am happy for McDermott, he is a great guy. He delivered, he's a fantastic player and a fantastic team man. He showed us what he is capable of doing. No game is easy, it's a long competition. We all would like to rest for a few days. Guys are in a good nick. We need to see how we deliver our best in the games coming up.

Jason Holder: Evin is a big player for us, losing him was crucial. It's not easy. We didn't really adapt to the conditions, we were 20 to 25 runs short. They bowled really well, we lacked a bit of intent. That brought them back in the game. Not too disheartened. Still a lot of positives from the game. We got the options with the ball. The wickets will slow down as we go along. We got 10 wickets yesterday, we got 5 today.

McDermott, Player of the Match: Nice start to the CPL. Nice to get first win on the board. Hopefully we'll play 10-11 more games. Cricket is a funny game. It was pretty nice to bat on. Wasn't easy to bat against Waqar. He (Hope) is one of the best in the world, was lovely to bat with him. I have played with him for the Hobart Hurricanes, was nice to bat with him again.

22:51 Local Time, 02:51 GMT, 08:21 IST: A clinical performance by Guyana Amazon Warriors as they clinch their first win of the season and get off to an auspicious start in this tournament. Earlier in the day, Imran Tahir elected to bowl first and like the Guyana skipper had anticipated at the toss, there was a slight rain delay in start. Following a delayed start, the Patriots lost Evin Lewis to an injury and their top-order batters barring Fletcher couldn't add anything substantial to the total. Pretorius took three wickets, while Tahir two wickets and the other bowlers chipped in with handy spells to restrict the opposition to a mediocre total of 153/8. In reply, the Guyana Amazon Warriors lost an early wicket in the form of Kevlon Anderson, however, McDermott and Shai Hope had a rollicking partnership following that. McDermott was lethal against all the opposition bowlers and Hope played an anchor's role as the pair added 114 runs for the second wicket. Following McDermott's dismissal, the Guyana Amazon Warriors lost a few more wickets, but they eventually got over the line in the 18th over. Stay around for the presentations..

This was pitched up by the pacer and Iftikhar Ahmed attempted a slog across the line. The ball goes miles up in the air and Goolie at deep mid-wicket circles under it.
