Bangladesh and India met around the same time last year as well at the former's home. The visitors won the 3-match series 2-0 with the third game being abandoned. That time India had sent their second string team. Raina was the captain and a lot of players made their ODI debuts in that series.

India have gone in with the same squad that played the World Cup in Australia, barring Mohammad Shami. Dhoni, who retired from Tests comes back to lead the ODI side.

Bangladesh have been in excellent form in the recent past. They first beat England in the World Cup to qualify for the quarterfinal. However, they couldn't go past India and their journey ended. After that, Pakistan lost 3-0 to Bangladesh. It was the first time that the hosts had won a series against Pakistan.

If Bangladesh play they way their playing from the last few months, they have an opportunity to put up a good fight against a strong team like India.

Bangladesh captain Mashrafe Mortaza won the toss and opted to bat first. Litton Das and Mustafizur Rahman are making their ODI debuts for Bangladesh. India are playing with the usual three seamers, two spinners combination.

Teams:

Bangladesh (Playing XI): Tamim Iqbal, Soumya Sarkar, Litton Das, Mushfiqur Rahim(w), Shakib Al Hasan, Sabbir Rahman, Nasir Hossain, Mashrafe Mortaza(c), Mustafizur Rahman, Rubel Hossain, Taskin Ahmed

India (Playing XI): Shikhar Dhawan, Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, Ajinkya Rahane, Suresh Raina, MS Dhoni(w/c), Ravindra Jadeja, Ravichandran Ashwin, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Umesh Yadav, Mohit Sharma

Tamim Iqbal continued with his antics and smashed a four over the mid-off fielder to get to his fifty as well - his 30th in ODIs. However, soon after the in-form batsman reached his milestone, the steady drizzle got heavier and the umpires had to force the players off the field.

Bangladesh openers Tamim Iqbal and Soumya Sarkar got off to a decent start without losing any wickets in the first five overs. After taking a couple of overs to settle, they started playing their shots. Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Umesh Yadav started the proceedings for the visitors.

Taskin Ahmed struck once more, this time, to pick up a huge wicket - Virat Kohli's. India's Test skipper has only himself to blame. It was a short and wide delivery from Taskin that Kohli went chasing. He went for a cut but got an outside edge, straight down the throat of the keeper. Kohli was very angry with himself as he walked back.

Rohit Sharma continued his good form and brought up his 26th ODI fifty. He belted the Bangladesh bowlers and kept India's scorecard ticking.

In the very next over, Dhawan was out to Taskin Ahmed on 30. The batsman could not capitalize on the two lifelines he got. He made room for the ramp shot but got a glove instead giving the keeper a simple catch.

Rohit Sharma departed on 63 and India slipped further. Mustafizur Rahman got his maiden ODI wicket - and what a big one it is! The bowler took the pace off the ball and Rohit was outfoxed by it. He closed the bat face early and got a leading edge. Mortaza at mid-off just had to come forward a touch and took an easy catch.

From 95/0, India have slumped to 105/3.

Mustafizur Rahma got his second wicket of the day by removing Ajinkya Rahane for a 25-ball 9. Rahane was early into the drive and hit it in the air, Nasir Hossain at cover jumped up to hold onto a splendid take. What a catch and what a moment for Bangladesh!

Next to fall was skipper MS Dhoni, who could manage only 5. Shakib took his wicket. Dhoni looked to drive a flighted delivery but got an edge as the ball turned away sharply. Mushfiqur held onto a simple take and India have lost half their side.

The entire hard-work done by Jadeja and Raina came undone in Mustafizur's over as he dismissed the latter on 40. Ashwin, who had come at the crease, also departed on the next ball for a duck. The young debutant has claimed a 4-fer and with still three of his overs left, he can look to get a five-wicket haul.

And indeed he did. He picked up the wicket of Ravindra Jadeja in his 8th over to complete a five-for on debut. An outstanding performance by the youngster. Looks very very difficult for India from here.

After slipping to 128-5 from 95-0, a half-century stand between Ravindra Jadeja and Suresh Raina steadied India. Both batsmen took on the bowlers and hit some fantastic shots.

Raina was the aggressor in the partnership and he rapidly moved into his 40s.

After a spectacular five-for from Mustafizur, it did not take long for Bangladesh to bowl out India and they secured a big 79-run victory. On this day, 10 years ago, Bangladesh had created history by defeating Australia and today too they have announced themselves with a convincing win.

This is only the fourth time they have beaten India in an ODI.
