In a befitting final session of Day 4 a thoroughly engaging Test in Chittagong, England and Bangladesh once again finished neck to neck at the close of play. Sabbir Rahman (59 not out), the debutant No. 7 batsman who has put in good performances in limited-overs recently, gave a solid account of his Test credentials with a fighting half-century to keep Bangladesh alive in the contest. For England, a fired-up Stuart Broad pulled things back in the final session with a fine spell of bowling that included two key wickets, after it seemed like Sabbir and Mushfiqur Rahim would run away with the chase.

In fading light, play was brought to a halt after the umpires deemed the conditions not good enough to let Alastair Cook operate with a fast bowler. With only 33 more to defend, Cook called for the end of the proceedings as he perhaps would've liked to have Broad operating from one end.

At stumps, Bangladesh reached 253 for 8, with Sabbir batting on 59 and Taijul on 11. Broad's fantastic spell took England on the cusp of a victory, but at then end, they aren't quite there yet. When Day 5 begins on Monday, the pressure levels would've attained equilibrium - Bangladesh are 33 runs away from a memorable victory and England need two wickets to deny them that.
